The objective of this study is to summarize the literature available on the evaluation of different software for analyzing FWD data throughout the world. The use of these back-calculation programs without careful analysis may result in unlikely outcomes. As the use of the FWD is increasing, the number of techniques adopted for the back-calculation of the pavement layer’s properties is also increasing. Falling weight deflectometer (FWD) is gaining popularity because of its ease of use and representation of dynamic loading of vehicles. There is a requirement for structural evaluation of roads, i.e., identifying the existing structural condition of each and every layer of pavement as well as analyzing the overall pavement strength. ![]()
